Welcome to the page dedicated to the Himalyan Cultural School Gulabgarh and its volunteer program for teachers of English. Our experience began just two years ago, but it has been wonderful. The school was honored to welcome the first volunteer English teacher during the summer of 2010 and it was lucky enough to receive a second volunteer teacher from Jammu, who taught the students of the H.C.S. for an entire school year. The goal of both teachers was to help the children of this mostly buddhist school, situated in an isolated rural area of India, to improve their skills in English.
Below we've provided further information on this modest but enthusiastic project.
